This Grid-Tie Utility Interactive System is located in beautiful Taos, NM.
This 1.53 kilowatt PV system consists of 9 multi-crystalline Sharp 170 watt modules, and was designed to zero out the customer's electric bill.
The standard low-profile Roof Mount was utilized.
The 4/12 roof pitch was factored into the manufacturing of the mounting to provide for module tilt adjustments up to 50°.
The highly efficient SMA 3800 watt inverter was chosen to convert sunlight to household AC power.
This inverter can accept a total of three strings of modules and hence can accommodate an additional 3.06 kilowatts of modules
when the owner completes additions to the residence in the future.
Conduit and wire sizing as well as electrical components were pre-engineered to accept future solar panel additions without any change to the infrastructure.
