This solar electric system is located in southern New Mexico
in the San Andres Mountains. Jim and LaVerne have been living in
this ranch home for over 14 years having primary electricity only
when their generator was running. Not only was the generator costly
to run but it was reaching the end of its life expectancy without
costly maintenance charges. Jim and LaVerne had become accustomed
to living with very little electricity and had even put in a small
12 volt system so that they did not have to run the generator every
time they needed light. Jim used the battery charger on the generator
to re-charge a couple of deep cycle batteries and then he was able
to utilize the 12 volt electricity without the constant noise of
the generator.
This beautiful ranch house is now powered completely with 120 volt
electricity from a Trace Sine Wave inverter. This solar electric
system was engineered, designed and installed by Direct Power and
